Myra Richman CEO of Richman and Associates, Inc.

Myra brings an invaluable 35 years of experience in public relations, marketing, entertainment and finance to Richman & Associates, Inc. and Blacktie-Arizona.

Having worked in the entertainment business for most of those years at NBC in both New York and Burbank, she worked as a production and talent coordinator on several network television shows that included: “The Tonight Show, starring Johnny Carson” and “Celebrity Challenge of the Sexes.” As associate producer to news correspondent David Brinkley, Myra traveled throughout the world with NBC News.

Her left brain/right brain combination of talents comes from several years spent in the world of finance on Wall Street, in the entertainment business as well as running her own public relations business.

For five years, Myra produced and marketed “Unique Lives & Experience,” North America’s foremost women’s lecture series, at Gammage Auditorium. Some of the 25 celebrity women she brought to Arizona included: Lady Margaret Thatcher, Marie Osmond, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Julie Andrews, Mary Tyler Moore, Patty Duke, Jehan Sadat, Shirley MacLaine and Maya Angelou.

In 2005, Myra founded Blacktie-Arizona, part of a national company now in 11 markets, providing 50+ event planning tools and promotional services to nonprofits, associations and corporations–to help them raise more money, lower costs and gain visibility. Additionally, Blacktie-Arizona provides photo/story coverage of member events and maintains an online fundraising event calendar for the community.

Appreciating the significance of being connected to her community, Myra actively contributes to many Arizona organizations. She has served as a board member of Phoenix Art Museum’s Contemporary Forum and has been a member of Alliance Francaise, Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, Arizona Women in Food & Wine, Phoenix Pride Commission, Scottsdale Healthcare Women’s Advisory Council, Phoenix Friends of the Arizona Cancer Center, International Cancer Advocacy Network (ICAN) Advisory Board, Biltmore Area Partnership Board, Super Bowl XLII/Taste of the NFL Phoenix 2008 Advisory Board, WellCare Foundation Board, the Canada-Arizona Business Council Advisory Board and National Bank of Arizona Nonprofit Advisory Board.
